The Nigerian military has expressed confidence that it is capable of defeating Boko Haram within the time period set by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking recently on the issue, Rufus Ojuawo, a top command of the Nigerian Air Force, claimed that the December deadline was achievable, The Sun reports.
He made a comment in Ibadan, Oyo state, in the course of his two-day visit to his colleague Air Commodore Emmanuel Akinbayo.
Ojuawo insisted that the intensity of bombings had been going down in the past two weeks.
He was further quoted as saying:
“That shows that we are winning. By God’s grace, December deadline is achievable.”
