Photographs of a man being beaten up by a group of transportation officials in Yunnan, south west China, has recently emerged online, causing uproar in the country.
The victim claimed that he was assaulted with long sticks because he was asleep and didn't get out of the car when the officials came to inspect the vehicle on Monday.
However, since the photographs emerged, the local transportation department has countered that the men had thrown stones at them before the situation escalated into a fight. The case is currently still under investigation.
