Cobhams, who was born on January 6, 1981 in Jos, actually hails from Calabar. He likes to say that he started his career in music as a child he used to puff his cheeks to play the 12-bar blues.
Possessed of natural talent, the self-taught musician started honing his skills from an early age while growing up in a barracks. As a young boy, he used to organize concerts in his neighborhood, drumming on his mother’s barrels of water.
What many do not know is that Cobhams’ musical pursuit came to a halt when he entered the university to study law. After leaving the university, he decided to pursue his passion for music. This caused him sleeping on studio floors and working without pay. It was after working as Head of Audio Productions at a local label, Questionmark Entertainment,  that he set up his own recording facility, CAMP, in 2006.
