Man Sentenced To 5 Years in Prisonment For Raping a 9 Year Old Girl
A security guard, identified as Onoja Abel, sentenced to five years imprisonment by an Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court for raping an unnamed nine-year-old girl.
According to reports, the accused committed the crime at Toyosi Pure Water Compound of High School Area, Akure.
The prosecutor, ASP Isah Atanegbe told the court that Abel lured the girl into his room and raped her three times, between September and October 2015, adding that the convict had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor girl without her consent.

Buhari to attend 3rd summit of India-Africa Forum in New Delhi
Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja on Tuesday for New Delhi to participate in the 3rd Summit of the India-Africa Forum aimed at boosting socio-economic development in Africa and India.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the president, Mr Femi Adesina.

Wole Soyinka Talks About His New Book
Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka yesterday vowed to “draw blood” with his latest book, InterInventions.
The book, he said, would be his “vengeance” against “unprovoked assault of public lies” directed against him.
The popular playwright and essayist spoke at the formal inauguration of The Wole Soyinka Foundation, a retreat haven for writers.
He described InterInventions as “the nastiest book” he has ever written.
The 130 – page work – InterInventions, Between Defective Memory and Public Lie, A Personal Odyssey in The Republic of Liars, was presented to the public at the June 12 Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta by the Edo State governor, Adams Oshiohmole.

Obasasanjo disclosed that, both his family and that of his late wife family ; Adebe have missed late (Mrs) Stella Obasanjo, ten years after her demise.
The late former First Lady, died on October 23, 2005 after a failed surgery in a Spanish hospital in Spain.
