A photograph has emerged on social media mocking Cross River Governor Ben Ayade’s excessive show
off and display of flamboyance of exorbitant motorcade in the state.
The photo currently gaining high speed popularity has Netherland’s Prime Minister, Mark Rutte’s photo riding to work morphed in comparison with Ayade in his exorbitant motorcade going to have his hair cut.
“Current Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte riding to work & Ben Ayade going to have a hair cut,” the inscription on the photo states.
Another flaw the governor is criticized to have is his always being on the plane flying out of the country, which makes him the most travelled governor, who administers the state from oversees.
Also, the governor is being for publicized for undertaking, by him even the most non-quintessential journey abroad to make frivolous transactions.
Once, during the early period of his assumption into office Ayade was rumoured to have abandoned running the state to procure a power bike customized to a horse for himself ahead of the carnival this year. That trip, if any truth was to come by its truth fell short of any sensitivity of serious governor to lavish tax payers’ income, even as the state continues to go through tough moments.
A source close to the government house, once also revealed that because of the governors frequently leaving the state plenty of letters piled on the governor’s desk are left unattended to, some of which demands state urgent attention.
This attitude of the governor has, in the past attracted backlashes with many including APC chieftain Okoi Obono Obla and Utum Eteng, describing him as giving the state ‘cowboy style’ style of leadership while warning him on the various pitfalls that will bring his seemingly overblown promises to the state to an unachievable end.
